Looks to have a connector that could connect to an external solar panel if the install spot doesn't get the best sun. Just not sure which Ring panel you would need. The staying on is kind of up to what you set in the app. There is an option to stay on a low light setting, like 30% bright and then go to 100% when it senses motion. No, it does not use the same batteries as the other Ring cameras. It is two 18650 cells, but they are bare. Looks like 2 overgrown AA batteries, but not in any kind of plastic housing that is used for the other camers.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The light has a connection port for a remote Ring solar panel, in addition to the integrated panel. The illumination time is selectable via the ring app. The batteries are not the same as the Ring stick up cam.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will connect to a ring solar panel. Yes it will stay on all night as long as it gets sun all day. No it doesn’t take the same batteries as the cameras.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it has a built in solar panel. It can stay on a lower output setting during the night and get brighter when motion is detected. It would likely need pretty good sun during the day to recharge if you have it stay on all night like that. No, it does not use the battery packs of other Ring products. It is 2 18650 lithium ion batteries in the back.
