• I believe the cams run off of wifi signal. You can check in (go to live feed, see motion alerts, recordings, etc) from your ring app on your cellphone if you're using data but the cams have to have internet I think.

• The camera requires a wifi internet connection so its placement has to be able to reach your router and your cellphone has to have a network connection or at least be connected to a wifi signal with the ring app
