• The audio only works if you access it otherwise it remains silent. You cannot turn off the infrared light which is for recording at night.

• You do not have to turn on the two way audio. I don't know about the infrared.

• The two way audio only turns on when you turn it on yourself within the app during live view. The red lights cannot be turn off during recording.

• Yes you can turn off the audio however the IR light may stay on but it shouldn't disturb the Dove's nest.
