“If I use it as an indoor camera is there a way to turn it off while i'm at home so it won't be going off all the time/”

Hi Newman, Thanks for reaching out. Yes! You are able to toggle off "Motion Recording" within your Ring App under your Motion Settings. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely! It's a power wifi enabled cam. So if you disconnect it from the power, it turns the monitoring off. Besides that, if you check your Ring app, there's tons of options to modify your stick up cam to suit your monitoring needs. You can still keep it on but just turn off the 'motion alerts' & or the ' record motion'.. Or turn it both off. Your choice. In my case, I just unplug it from the outlet.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The only way to shut off the camera from “live view” is to physically remove the plug from the electrical outlet. From the app you can stop motion recording but the camera is still on and anyone with access can view the camera footage over the internet. Also, there is no way to schedule the camera to turn on or off during certain times or to start/stop motion recording at certain times. You can only schedule the camera to stop or start motion alerts at certain times, which is not very useful.
