Yes, that is how mine is set up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The battery powers the unit all the time with charging from the 24 volt AC from the door bell connection. The only problem is if the power goes off the door bell will be active but your WIFI router and ISP connection will be down unless you have everything backed up with a UPS. This is also assuming your internet provider still has power too.
