QuestionMy existing doorbell has a wireless connection, the bell is hard wired with a plug in device inside. Does this ring give a chime when pressed? If I am home I would I be notified someone is at the door?

- Answer Yes you will be notified if someone rings the doorbell while you are home. Yes if hardwired the doorbell will ring the hardwired chime if it's compatible. Check the ring website for compatibility chart.

QuestionI currently looking for a hardwired door bell which does not rely on having the battery charged. Does this door bell NOT have to have the battery charged, even though it is hardwired. Right now my Ring 3 Plus has to have the battery charged

- Answer I don’t know all the difference you can check that revising each. But 4 allows for the 2.4mhz and the 5. The others only do 2.4

QuestionWe had someone install a 1st generation video Ring. It is hardwired. Can I easily install Ring 4 to replace my hardwired Ring 1st generation?

- Answer It's very easy to install. Just need to turn off power to existing doorbell by turning the circuit breaker for it to the off position. Then remove existing doorbell and connect the two power wires to the new doorbell and mount. Then turn the power back on by turning the circuit breaker for the doorbell back to the on position.
