“The ethernet cable powers the camera and is connected directly to the wireless router using a 50 ft cable, correct? My wireless router is much further away from my current doorbell. Can I use a longer cable? If so, what is the maximum length it can be?”

Hi JamieD, Thanks for reaching out. Yes, the 50-foot cable provided to you runs directly from your ethernet to your Ring Elite. You are however able to use a longer cable if needed.
