• Ring does offer a doorbell that is powered by battery. Go to the Ring website for their specs. I believe the Ring Doorbell and Doorbell 2 are battery option doorbells.

• Yes, there is battery version. A friend of mine purchased one to install in the house they currently rent. They wanted to be able to take it with them when they leave. According to their experience it works great. Check your local Best Buy for models available.
