Center Height of Door.. It has a fish eye lens.. so it will about all..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.For me, I have mine over the existing doorbell wiring which is about 3.5 feet off the ground. However, the camera is pretty good and can capture almost 180 degrees so anywhere would work.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.4 to 4.5 Foot seems to be the best height for the door bell. I used the Angle bracket so that it was facing upwards a little more and that seemed to work fine, but after seeing the viewing angle of the camera it may have been find without the bracket. My door bell is approximately 4-4.5 feet from the ground and with the angled bracket it catches the whole patio from the ground to the ceiling. The birdseye viewing angle is great meaning that it captures the whole width of our porch which is about 25 feet. Camera image quality is pretty good too.
