If you want video storage there is a $3.00 per month fee. You get a free trial for 30 days initially. You need wifi and the app. If you want to have your video and be able to see it after it happens that will be the monthly fee. If you don't want the fee you will still see what is at your door but only live. Can't go back and see it an hour later. Hope this helps. No fee for the app.
Unfortunately yes. If you only storing the online video for one video feed then you can pay 30 for the whole year or 3$ a month for the storage which is great deal. If you are looking to store video feeds from 2 or more devices then it is a 100 a year or 10 dollars a month. The good thing about the 100 a year option is that it is not limited to 2 devices, it stores the video for all your ring camera devices where as the 30 a years is only for one camera storage.
A rude surprise! I received two Ring cameras from my father as a gift - I doubt he realized I would be required to pay $10 per month to have any useful purpose for them. He spent hundreds of dollars for the cameras, but they are essentially useless. I will ask Amazon for full return credit to my father.
Yes. $ 3.00 a month or $30 per year just for the ring bell but if you have both is 10 per month or $ 100 per year.
Hi Jazii64, Thanks for reaching out. Our optional Protect Plans allow you to access/download/share past Ring videos. Without this service, you'll still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to Live View. We do have two different Protect Plans. Our Basic Protect Plan for $3.00 a month will cover individual Ring devices. Our Protect Plus Plan for $10.00 a month will cover any and all Ring devices at one given location.
