“I'm short & cannot see out of our peep hole even when I'm home. Is it possible to place this lower, so I will be able to look/see when I'm here?That is really my main concern.”

this s not something you look through on your door. This is a doorbell with a camera in it. The picture feed from the camera will be viewed on your computer, tablet or smart phone. No need to put it lower. You may want to get a better understanding of this product before purchasing.
