• if you have good wifi like at least 5mb down an 2mb up it will work with out the booster

• The wifi signal strength you will need is equivalent to a smart phone streaming HD videos. Try to stream close to the location where the Ring doorbell is going to be amd if you have a solid wifi connection then you should be fine without a booster. Also the Ring app conveniently tells you the device health, like the signal strength amd voltage readings.
