• The Ring Pro is designed to be wired into your current system. It will work with your current chimes, and from the electricity behind your old doorbell. It was one of the big selling points for us. Great item.

• Yes, there is one extra step to connect a few wires on the existing chime to a small transformer that comes with Ring. Less than 5min to install that piece.
