A:Answer No. And the change to a bigger doorbell transformer might not help, either. It didn't for us. We purchased and installed a 30 VA transformer, and it didn't have any effect. The function of the Power Kit is a mystery that Ring does not seem too anxious to share. The laws of physics tell us that if the total power output of the doorbell transformer is 10 VA (Watts), then no device inserted into the circuit could possibly boost that to something greater (Law of Conservation of Energy. Remember that?). Ring is having some serious audio problems, and they seem to blame the doorbell transformer for everything. We purchased and installed the Ring Chime Pro to "fix" our (nonexistent) Wi-Fi problems. It had no effect, either. Don't hold your breath waiting for a solution. BTW, what is the AWG (gauge) of your doorbell wire? I'm beginning to believe that this might be a factor, but can't be sure without more information.
