It can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer with 8–24 VAC, 40 VA max, and 50–60 Hz for continuous charging. Visit our support center for more information. It can be connected to a doorbell power source on the outside of your house if you have one. It takes 4-6 hours to charge it up initially before you can install it. So you will have to repeat this process if you don't have an outside power source to attach it to. Normally the battery will last about 2-3 months between charges.
