There was recently gunshots near our house and my neighbor across the street mentioned the exact words we exchanged inside the house when saying that we maybe should call the police, if the ring doorbells is pointed at your house even 20 ft away it can still hear through a thin wall.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would be possible, eso if walls are thin. They would hear the same thing as if they were standing there in front of their door.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I seriously doubt they can hear you through a wall plus 10 feet away. I can stand inside my house directly adjacent to the wall where my doorbell is outside and when talking loudly it only picks up mumbles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not likely. It only starts recording when it detects motion, and even then you have to be up in front of it to really pick up any sound. You should be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not really. The person has to be right in front of the ring. I sometimes have my door open with the screen door only. I hit live view and can barely hear my tv when it's on. And I have a decent sound system and can make out the noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Nontechy, All Ring devices are set off by motion, thus a conversation that you are having inside your home should not set off the device. I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, please contact me at [email protected]. Best, Mary Nell J., Neighbor Satisfaction Specialist
