Hi DJEric. Good question. No, the Ring Video Doorbell Wired must be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer with 10–24 VAC, 40 VA max, and 50–60 Hz for continuous charging. While your Ring Video Doorbell Wired will still send Ring and Motion alerts to your mobile device, in order to hear an audible chime with Ring Video Doorbell Wired, you'll need to add a Ring Chime or Ring Chime Pro to your setup.
