How far away can I be from the speaker and still hear? null

The Bluetooth reaches about 30 feet.

You can hear it easily in the passenger compartment of your vehicle--probably even in the back of a van if the volume is turned up. You couldn't hear it clearly outside the vehicle if you were very far away. It will only pick up your voice of you are in close proximity to the microphone. If someone in the back seat wanted to participate in the conversation, they would have to yell.

People in the backseat can hear and carry the conversation.

Not very far, I would say both front seats of the car are fine but back seats would not work, it is not loud enough.

I can hear it about 20-30 ft away when i enter my garage if i leave it on.

No matter what the manufacturer states anything over 8 foot is tough to hear.

It can be finicky. My wife has told me that when I am driving a separate car behind her that the unit will connect with my phone that is with me. Other times it won't connect when it is in the same car. Who knows?
