“rocketfish digital optical audio cable 12 feet model #:RF-G1220 Is this optical audio cable a good choice for my 2013 Samsung 65" Smart LED HDTV 3d television Model UN65F7050AF, series 7050 (bought from Costco, 1080p, 240Hz, 720 clear motion rate, dual core processor)? I also have a Samsung Smart 3D blu-ray player and a Bose Cinemate GS 11 speaker system (running the audio optical cable directly from my optical audio out on my tv to the audio optical port on the Bose system/only rca jacks port & optical port on the Bose). I want to get the best picture (3d, blu-ray movies, etc) and the best audio/sound (3d, blu-ray movies, etc) possible without spending a small fortune($$$)? Or should I buy a higher quality optical audio cable. This audio optical cable was the only 12 footer Best Buy had in stock with out a special order. Thank you”

The picture does not go through this cable, and audio will pass through only if your HDMI port is not passing audio with the video. Say, for instance, you are playing a CD, not a video or game.
