Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can't be serious? Of course you remove the plastic caps. Nothing that you just have to plug into a port should have to include instructions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I truly hope all difficulties with this product have faded into the past. Basically, our TV and sound bar had clear instructions on the installation and everything went truly textbook.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely remove the plastic tips on the ends of the cable. They're meant to protect the end of the cable until you install it. After that, just insure that the shape of the tip matches up to the plug in the back of your device. It only goes in one way and should have to be forced. Then you'll be all set up and ready to go!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no preparation for this cable. It's basically plug and play. An optical cable uses light to transmit the data, hence the name. The plastic covers are to protect the ends while the cable is not being used, so yes, you remove them when you use the cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.fiber optic cable works on light - yes you need to remove the tip
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the little plastic tips do come off. And you are so correct in saying " not user friendly".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I ended up taking the cable and the sound bar back to Best Buy and I was told to take off the plastic cover at the ends. The helpful employee also had trouble inserting the plug into the orifice on the bar and had to do contortions to get it in. Not fun...
