Remember to remove covers on cable prior to install. Fortunately, the sales person told me about this.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just gave this cable a bad review because I could not get the plugs on the cable to slide in fully nor snap in place. I wrote that I thought that the plugs on the cable ends must have a design flaw. Protective caps? I didn't see anything that looked like caps on the plugs, but then, perhaps the caps were there and I didn't know what I was seeing. On the Rocketfish box that contained the cable, it says "Precision-made connectors ensure a perfect fit with jacks; not too loose or tight". Rocketfish mentions nothing on the box about removing caps before plugging into components. I will be returning the cable to Best Buy. An old gramp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree, as a 66 year old, I had to call the geek squad to tell me to take off the caps. I forgot about that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too encountered this but understand that it is required to protect the cable ends to preserve functionality. Such measures are common to ensure that your cables remain free from damage and work as expected upon installation.
