• Chromcast is a TV Box (build-in App). RF-G1501 is a HDMI switch. You can plug chromecast onto RF-G1501. But RF-G1501 can't replace Chromecast.

• It’s just a switch. I needed extra HDMI ports and it seems like a solution to move more easily through satellite, streaming, and BluRay.
