The splitter box is designed to accept 4 HDMI device's such as, a Bluray player , Roku streaming box, ext, and output the 4 devices with one output. Four in, one out. Many televisions have one or 2 inputs making it hard to accommodate all your HDMI devices. This box will certainly help. The box is a bit confusing because the first input is on the FRONT of the box with the rest of inputs on the back. Plus the one output. If I understand your question, the input on the front is the first input of your HDMI devices followed by 2 through 4 on the back.
