Why does my RF-G1501 change modes by it's self? null

My Sony TV drives the change automatically. There's a setting on the TV that looks at compatible devices - what it ends up looking like on the TV is there's only 1 HDMI port, but then each compatible device will be called out: PS5 HDMI1; ROKU HDMI1; Fire stick HDMI1. If I change the setting in my TV menu, then I would have to use the switcher remote to pick the "right" HDMI port on the switcher (1,2,3 or 4)
