“Is this switch HDMI 2.0 or 2.1? 2.1 is required for the new 4K at 120hz modes on the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5. So far, all the switches I've found are 2.0 and cap out at 4K at 60hz. They also can't do 8K.”

If you have that type of high quality equipment, this box is not for you. It will pass through all of your gear and work well but no 8k equipment. There are very few 8k devices out right now. If you want to be future proof, look for boxes that pass all the new HDMI codes plus 8k. Remember at this point in time there is little if any consumer 8k material
