• This hdmi cable will work to connect your TV to your Blu-Ray player. The PS3 is not required, nor is this cable only functional with the PS3. It should work with any HDMI compatible device.

• Hdmi is high definition Blu-ray, game, or smart doesn't matter! Playstation is already set up for 3d. Higher speed and Ethernet are bonuses, But usually not worth outrageous cost and Often not recognizable!

• I am not sure I understand your question, but will give it a shot. Almost all HDMI cables are the same all that matters is that the cable is HDMI version 1.4 or higher in order to pass the internet through your bluray player to your smart TV (Assuming your Smart TV is not UltraHigh Def also knowm as 4k) Your PlayStation should work with a cable HDMI version 1.3 or higher, but will not pass the internet to your TV. If your TV has an Ethernet port then don't buy a HDMI cable but an Ethernet Cable in order to get internet directly to your Smart TV from your internet router/wifi router.
