- Answer For iPhone connect to a lightning to HDMI convert, plz make sure if it is from apple dealer. Since it's a converter, it might cause signal loss or has compatibility issue.

- Answer Just a follow up to an earlier answer. This morning I just used 3.5 mm aux cable and a Y splitter using the Audio out output to connect this to my NAD integrated amp. The Optical output is connected to a outboard DAC used in another system. So as you as long as you don’t try to use both systems at once you should have no problem using either of the outputs on this device.
