Of course there is a loss. The signal being sent is continually degrading, whether it is passing through a device or just traveling down a perfectly manufactured cable. The loss depends on the frequency range of the signal: typical for these type of devices would be .3db insertion loss at 1 GHz, and less than 12 db return loss at 1 GHz. (Remember a coaxial line/connector contains a standing wave due to the signal reflection.) Most likely your interested in the insertion loss; buy the gold plated, RG6, F81 from Rocketfish. It's a good product.
