“sideways swivel seems to loosen up to easy... ...I can easily tighten up with allen-wrench, but after just a few times moving arm/swivel, it loosens back up causing unwanted travel/movement”

You can apply a little plumbers tape to the screw, or buy loctite for the screw from a hardware store. This should keep it from coming loose.

The mount does have a 5 year warranty, so you can return it to the store for repair/replacement with your receipt.
