NO! If your computer has an DVI connector, this device WILL NOT work. You probably require the older DVI-to-HDMI connector that is a little larger than this one.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have experience with this adapter and it has the potential to work, but be careful. There are two types of DVI hookups available on devices DVI-I and DVI-D. This connector will only work for DVI-I ports which look like the white port on the far right of the image attached to this response if for whatever reason this adapter does not fit your particular DVI port, the return policy should cover you for up to thirty days from the adapter purchase. Also , be sure that your tablet has a regular hdmi output instead of a mini or micro hdmi output because that may require you to use another adapter. If you keep all of these things in mind you should have no issues using this adapter for your video needs. Do keep in mind that whether or not the audio is also transmitted along the port is entirely dependent upon the motherboard in the device receiving the output from the adapter. Some will not allow audio to be transmitted through DVI-I and others will.
