Unfortunately the mounting base-plate is too wide to fit on a 4x4 post. Four of the six holes can be fastened to a 4x4 post, but part of the base-plate (and two holes) will hang off to the side of the post.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The mounting base plate needs a 6" surface, so put a 2 x 6 cross member on your 4 x 4 and it will fit on that fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, you can fit 4 of the 6 pre-drilled holes on a 4x4" post. I believe using only 4 holes is sufficient unless you have extremely strong winds.
