• No, there is an adapter that attaches to the cable, going into a set box or the back of your TV that gets plugged into an indoor outlet.

• No. The amplifier that comes with it connects at the tv inside. Only thing needed outside is the coaxial cable.

• No. The AC powered amplifier is connected just before the antenna cable is connected to your TV and / or your recording device.
