• Just keep it flipping until you find the right fit. No cutting required but i know what you mean because it took us a minute to find it too. We have a Xbox S too.

• I wouldn't advise cutting this battery back Charging Port up. Best Case Scenario to get it To function Properly with the series S, I would pick up a 6ft USB Extension Cable, plug male end of the USB- A into The Series S, then Plug the USB plug in of The Battery Pack Charger into the female end of The USB extension Cable. Make sure to have a battery pack or both plugged into The Charger that way when you have the Charger plugged Into The extension cable, you'll know it's working if the two Lights towards the bottom front right Light up either Red(denoting Charging) or White which dictates fully charged. Hope This Helps
