Questionlooking to mount a 50 inch TV with this mount but my wall has metal studs which cant be drilled into like a wood stud. Will wall anchors hold the TV up without concern for it coming off the wall.

QuestionCan someone tell me the width of the gap in the plate mount. i need to mount this over an outlet and need to know how much space is in that hole in the middle of the mount

- Answer With vertical plate for TV pushed all the way to one side, opening is 11 and 3/4 wide. What may be more of an issue -- opening is only 2.75 high and tapers even smaller at end.

QuestionWhat Rocketfish Wall Mount Fits Samsung UN55D8000Y?We just bought the Samsung 55" TV (UN55D8000Y) and tried the Sanus VisionMount but could not get it to fit, despite the box saying it fits up to 70" and reviews saying they've mounted the same size Samsung TV with it. So, before we go buy another wall mount, can anyone please tell me if there is a Rocketfish wall mount that specifically will fit the Samsung 55" TV model UN55D8000Y? Please and thank you!

- Answer I have a Samsung 46" 7500 series and the other person is correct, it doesn't fit out of the box. It looks like a few others don't fit either because the TV is just so slim there is only 1/4" subset on the screw. So after trying 2 different mounts (both not fitting properly) I settled on this one and hit Lowes. At Lowes I was able to pick up 4 nylon spaces which were perfectly sized (1/4" tall and about 3/4" in diameter) and then everything worked well together.

- Answer This mount will work with any TV that uses a 200x200 or 400x400 VESA mounting pattern, and is between 32" and 70" in size.

QuestionAnswers say this mount will work for a TV with a 200mm x 200mm Vesa Mounting Standard, which matches the 55" Samsung I'm considering. But the mount's specs say 400mm x 700mm. Will it work?

- Answer Answering my own question: measurements can be varied on this mount, up to 700mm (27.5 inches) wide by 400mm (15.7 inches) high, according to the specs. So 200mm by 200mm worked fine. My new 55-inch TV had the same VESA measurements as the old 39-inch one on this mount, which made it easier. Horizontal measurements depend on the location of a TV’s screw holes for the mounting brackets. Vertical measurements are limited somewhat on this mount because of a handle to lock the mount’s tilt in place. It blocks the middle screw holes on those mounting brackets. I was able to squeeze in a screw under the handle to get my 55 inch placed at just the right height on my wall — a few screw holes below the ones I used for my 39-inch TV.

- Answer No, the unit will not swivel side-to-side. The mount will slide left or right on the track but not tilt left or right.

QuestionI want to use this in a corner of my living room ....can this be used this way? Feel silly for this question.

- Answer Nope, this only tilts up and down, there is no way for it to turn. The only way you could use this in a corner is if you mounted something from one wall to the other and then put the bracket on that. I would only recommend that if you are very experienced in construction of some type.

QuestionI don't understand the 70" size limit. Won't this still work with a 75" TV as long as the weight is well below the capacity listed, the VESA pattern matches, and the mount is fastened properly in the right studs?

- Answer Yes it will, I'm using it on a 400x400, the 4k uhd Samsung 55in. sturdy, may need extra bolts if you use the spacers, all depends on the tv though.

Questiondoes this make the tv flush against the wall? is there a decent amount of space? have a 60 on the wall now and i don't like how close to the wall it is. Some cords are being bent because of it.

- Answer Yes, this is a low profile wall mount, it mounts the TV 1.9 inches away from the wall. Try a Full Motion Wall Mount like the Model: RF-HTLF23 for more space.

QuestionAre you able to get behind the TV to plug in other devices in the future? I read a couple of reviews that said there was not enough room between the wall and TV to plug in other cords. I stream a lot on my computer and need access to plug in my computer
