Hello, this antenna is designed for indoor usage only and therefore, it's reception range will be 40 miles inside your home without the need of installing it outdoors. Regards, Daniel T. - Rocketfish Support

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.miles is a very terrible way to sell antennas. First off 40 miles assumes this antenna mounted on a 30ft pole outdoors. It also assumes your stations are full 1,000,000 watt stations. Many of which are not unless you live in a metropolitan area. You can use any coaxial cable and purchase a union.
