Recently, I got rid of cable TV in favor of streaming services. However, I still wanted access to local stations (since those come at no charge). Setup was pretty straightforward. Just plug the coaxial cable into the TV, and wallah. Attaching the antenna to the stand was also easy. Just slip it between the stand notches. No screws, no pins, and it seems to stay secure in the stand. Picture quality seems good. Reception for local stations is very consistent and clear with no noticeable static (however, this could change if stations were closer to the max range of this antenna, and I am lucky as I live within 10 miles of the major local stations). Appearance wise, it looks plain, which works for my living room (I am not an interior designer). It does stick out, but it doesn't look bad for me. The antenna is thin enough that, if you wanted to hide it, you could possibly stick it behind a TV or other object on your entertainment center. It does come with a sticky pad-thing, so you can mount it on your wall (which I would never do as I fear paint being peeled off), the back of the TV, or back of the entertainment center. Overall, I am satisfied with the antenna. It does what I needed it to do.

I looked over the reviews before I purchased this antenna and it had good reviews so I purchased it. I got it home and hooked it up and unfortunately it wasn't strong enough for me. I live near Tampa about 30 miles away. The antenna would get Fox and ABC but it wouldn't bring in CBS or NBC. Then I moved it and it would bring in NBC but no CBS still. It got about 15 other channels and they came in great but the 4 channels I was looking for was no luck. I would still recommend this antenna if you lived closer to the broadcast towers because the quality of the channels that it did bring in were very clear. If you live further away you are probably better off with an outside antenna.

      Not Many Main TV Stations

I read the reviews and thought I would give it a try as it was on sale and we are considering getting rid of cable. I get ABC in HD perfectly and the station is about 20 miles but Fox goes in and out and I live about 5 miles from this broadcast station. No other core local channels. I live in the city. The rest of the channels are either not current or broadcasts in other languages. If I only spoke Spanish because there were a lot. I remember the days when I had rabbit ears on the TV and you had to get up to turn the knob on the TV to change channels. At least then you had a good 6 or so core good channels (not with this antenna). I am returning today. I wish it would have worked out better.

This antenna works relatively well, although if it is not mounted in a window with a line of sight to your area broadcast towers, it may have difficulty receiving some channels. I am about 25 miles from my local television broadcast towers and, when installed in my bedroom (interior wall away from the windows), I was not able to receive several local channels. I eventually installed an amplified external antenna (for only a few dollars more) and have been much, much happier with that setup. If you are not inclined to install an external antenna and you are rather close to your broadcast antennas, this particular antenna may work well for you. If you are out in the suburbs like I am, though, you may not be happy with its performance. (I do not believe that shortcoming is unique with just this model. I suspect any internal antenna will suffer in comparison to an external option.)

It was cheap so I figured why not. I've always been a fan of RocketFish considering it's Best Buy brand. I miss that old tradition where you're flipping for channels until you find something you like instead of asking Siri to open a movie on Netflix. Like I said, it was cheap so I figured it wouldn't hurt me to buy one. I was expecting maybe 15 channels. I ended up having 70 channels! A lot of them were HD channels! Now I can leave my house leaving TV on with animal channel for Cooper (my dog) to watch without worrying about using a lot of bandwidth on internet when playing Netflix. The quality is amazing! Just a simple one cable connection and you're good to go!

I purchased mine with a Roku bundle. When I'm not streaming, and I want to watch local channels, news, PBS, CW everything comes just fine. The person who took care of me suggested I hang it in a window or as close as I can to a window, up high, so far so good. Good advice. It's nice. Better then the antenna we had on the roof in the old days. I do have another brand in the living room and I would say this one is powerful. I'm happy with it. I'm free of cable and dish. Paying only for Internet, and one streaming service. Still a lot less $$$ each month. The cable needs to be longer though, so I can wire it out of sight. Still not bad at all, even with the line not being generous.

Very easy to set-up, just plug to TV, position the flat antenna, and run channel scan via TV menu. May take few tries for best picture quality, but nothing more than adjusting the position of antenna few inches here and there. I used scotch tape and put it on the wall lightly so that I can move it around for better picture quality. I do have basic cable in the living room, but not 4k streaming quality packet. This antenna provides 4k quality from many of the channels and I'm considering getting another one for living room and dropping the cable once my contract runs out in few months.

I know picking up a signal can be very challenging. I've used this antenna in 2 completely different locations. One is in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. Another is in the Permian Basin Odessa Texas area. The RGV has more channels, about double. The Odessa PB area has half the channels. But in BOTH locations this device picks up very well. I did have to find a good spot and find out where the tower is and once I did that and aimed in that direction all worked really well. It was a little frustrating since I did have to find a perfect location. But i'm extremely grateful for this antenna. Maybe the Odessa area will pick up some more stations in the future.
