I'm not an electronics tech but I will tell you what I believe to be the correct answer. In short this antenna is not likely to work on a non-HDTV without other equipment because the non-HDTV is likely an analog tv and this antenna is digital. If you have a digital to analog converter box for your non-HDTV then this antenna will work with the converter box which will work with your tv.
