Most newer televisions have built-in HD tuners to be able to read the HD, OTA signals. If your set is older and does not have one you would require an external HD tuner.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure what your are trying to ask but, this antenna does not need a tuner. Everything you need comes in this purchase. It hooks directly to your tv. The process to scan for your local channels may be different depending on what kind of tv you have (not really sure though ). I have a Sony smart tv and all I did was hook it up to the back of the tv, go to my settings, scan for channels (it takes a few minutes to find them) and that’s it. All your local channels are there and with a little more (hopefully.) I hope I helped. Good Luck!
