I bought a rocketfish moble charger and when I tryed to use it on my nuvi the garmin screen came up, then a what I would discribe as a loading bar, appears on the bottom portion of the screen below thr garmin logo. The bar going from left to right fill with green, as if loading,. When the bar is completly fill in green it disappears and I'm left with the screen locked at the Garmin logo.”

No, use the cable that came with your Garmin to charge it by plugging the Garmin cable into your cigarette lighter.
