Yes. It has apps, games, and channels that can be added. So say you watch a lot on NatGeo or the history channel, you can sign in with your TV provider info and get their shows on demand.

The best way to add new channels is from the Channel Store on your Roku player. 1) Open Roku Channel Store from the home screen 2) Select "Add channel" and confirm the selection when prompted. 3) If you have setup a PIN, you will be prompted to enter the PIN number. 4) Repeat this procedure for additional channels, or press the Home button.

I don't think so. Apps are only added by the Roku company as far as I know.

Im not sure what you mean by added to roku.The onlything I know is Roku has 100s of apps that you download to your roku for use on your TV.I don't think any outside apps can be downloaded to it.I may be wrong I just have not seen where you can do it.
