• The remote control has a headphone jack and volume buttons on the side that work only on the headphones. This means you are attached to the remote rather than the tv or the Roku box, so you can sit anywhere in the room you want as long as the remote is with you. I have even left the room and ran to the kitchen for a moment without having to take my headphones off, I just carry the remote with me and I can still hear whats happening. I have problems with earbuds as well and I use Sony over the ear headphones.

• Not sure about your Bose QC 15 headphones, but you can plug the included headphones into the Roku remote control (Roku 3 or 4).
