“For some reason my current Roku device shows a hulu app but says "hulu is no longer supported on this device" when I click on it. I have Netflix, hulu, paramount,will this work to get those apps on an old non smart tv?”

If your device is no longer updatable, the Express HD is an excellent upgrade and would satisfy any Hulu requirement to run smoothly. To verify your streaming device is running Roku OS 9.4 or higher. Go to Settings > System > About to check the software version. - Happy Streaming!
