Depending on your location Sling will stream some local channels, also depends on the subscription you have. I use OTA (Over the air antenna) and switch between Roku and local. Any of the Channel Master antennas work fine, just buy one based on how far you are from the stations. I use one rated for 50 +miles installed on my attic.

I use the Terk brand antenna purchased at Best Buy for around $75.00. All local stations come in bright and clear in HD

It depends on your location. You must have line-of-sight to the broadcast towers. There are websites that can tell you precisely what kind of reception to expect. In one location, I have great reception (better than cable) with an attic mounted OTA antenna. In another location, I can't get decent reception at all.
