You are only using Data when streaming via Roku. It has nothing to do with audio being streamed to remote with ear piece. That is bluetooth technology which is separate from your Internet connection.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No the earbuds connected to the wireless remote do not use cellular data. It's similar to using your Cellphone connected to the WiFi where you are not using a "Phone call" to transmit data when you are NOT hooked to WiFi.
