• Mare, that is correct the Roku Premiere doesn't offer TV controls. However, the Roku Streaming Stick+, Roku Streaming Stick+ HE and Roku Ultra do have the TV controls.

• The Roku remote only controls the device and not the actual TV. At least I have not been able to configure that myself. I use my TV remote to power on/off the TV and control the volume.
