• Yes, this would work. I installed this to my parents' old Samsung smart TV from 10+ years ago. You have to connect the optical wire to the back and the HDMI for it to work. Hope this helps!

• Hello OllieFinn0hi0, Yes, this will work on a monitor to provided it with the Roku platform and audio of anything played off the Roku Streambar itself, but monitors do not have HDMI ARC so there will be no pass through of audio to the soundbar from another device such as a console or computer.
