• No, the Streaming Stick uses a Roku enhanced "point–anywhere" remote, simply called an enhanced remote, connects over a wireless network and does not need to be pointed directly at your Roku® streaming device when you press buttons. This allows you to install your Roku device behind your wall-mounted TV or another nearby, out-of-sight location.
