A:AnswerI do have a jail broke fire TV stick and, unless you have a flash drive with movies or shows on it, you HAVE to have the internet to stream everything else. JUST USE A VPN if you stream something that you don't have a subscription for.
A:AnswerIt depends on how you define cable. If you mean having a full slate of routine network and cable programming, then no. It does for me because I already have a Spectrum cable box in the house and I simply loaded the Spectrum app to Roku. I get all Spectrum cable channels without the cable box rental. I am not certain if other loadable apps can replace what you are getting with cable now. You will have to research your favorite channels and see what is available.
