The Roku comes with everything you need to connect it to your television. Your television will need an HDMI port In order to use the Roku. If you have an additional USB port in the back of your TV, you can simply plug the Roku cord into that and it will get its power from the TV. If you do not, you can use the included cord and power box to plug into a traditional power outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This comes with a cable so you can power it thru a USB port on your tv or plug it into an outlet. The Roku itself plugs into an HDMI port on your tv. You then access programming thru your Wi Fi. It should not conflict with your cable tv in any way unless your tv only has one HDMI.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Roku works off your WiFi signal in your home. If it is a ROKU stick it plugs directly into your TV's HDMI Port. You can also get a ROKU unit that is a small desk top that connects by a cable in to your TV. Both ROKU'S need power which is a supplied by a small power unit like your cell phone charger, that is plugged in to you normal AC 110 volt outlet and delivers the power to the ROKU through a wire from that power unit
