If Roku can download apps your Smart TV can't then... yes. o.O
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.forewarning, I'm 'techno-illiterate' but..... …..my limited knowledge (from shopping tv's like crazy this BF season)is there are basically 2 types of Smart tv's: those with streaming capabilities via several Smart formats or solely a ROKU-only formatted tv. If you have the former, simply go to Roku (or whichever format) icon & register. If lucky enough (as my daughter) to have a Roku TV, then you sign up & go!! Already have a Roku account?? Turn on tv, register/enter code # once - boom! Irritating it's so freakin' easy. Instead of my 3 remotes: turn on tv/system/cable/etc...use tv remote input button to select "Roku"... NOW I can use Roku remote. She ONLY has ONE remote!! Cute little Roku remote...hit "ON", scroll to whatever channel/cable/tv/streaming station/music channel icon, you're done...has power/volume/mute. You have no idea how BAD I want to replace ALL my tv's with Roku tv's......grrrrr!!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Roku offers other options for channels. There is Sling, the Roku channel and then other network stations that you can’t access with just a smart Tv. It also offers Hulu and Netflix like a smart tv does.
